Important Show Day Information
Next Show: Saturday 29th July 2023
- Gate opening times general public (10am)
- Prices (£8 over 12 years, £5 under 12 years, under 3 free)

- Tent exhibits to be staged by 10.30am for judging at 11am
- Fur section exhibits to be penned by 10am and to remain until 4.30pm
- All horse entrants must report to the secretaries tent to receive numbers, classes to commence at 11am in Ring 3, late entries will be accepted at a cost of £12 per class
- Clear round to run from 11am till 3pm, entries on the day only, max height 1m, £8 per round or 2 for £15 (for the same combination)
- Sheep: Judging to commence at 10am
Entries from M.A.F.F. Maedi/Visna Accredited Sheep flocks will be accepted.
- Please ensure that 2 completed movement licences are handed to the steward before unloading.
- The address moving to is Oaktree Bank South, Knayton, Thirsk,YO7 4AX.
Holding number 48 530 8000. - Please indicate how many pens 6ft x 6ft you require.
All entries of Maedi/Visna Registered Sheep will be penned 4m from the other sheep.
Separate loading/unloading facilities and accommodation will be provided.
All exhibitors must state on entry form whether sheep are “MV Accredited” or “Non MV”.
- Run entries accepted on the day, Registration from 12pm, race briefing 1.50pm and race to start at 2pm
- No Dirty Vehicle will be allowed on to the field due to Disease prevention
- Hand washing facilities will be available

The approximate times of events in the Rings stated will be as follows:
RING 1
11.00am Heavy Horses
11.30am Parade of vintage tractors and farming history 12.00noon Royal Artillery Demonstration
12.20pm Pony Club Musical Ride
12.40pm Terrier Racing
2pm Sk run start followed by parade of the Hurworth Hounds 2.40pm Mounted Fancy Dress
3.00pm Ring 1 will be divided into 3
Area 1 Fun Dogs - Lots of classes, see page 53 Area 2 Heavy Horses followed by vintage tractors 4pm Royal Artillery Demonstration
Area 3 Gymkhana
Ring 1 will then return to original size for the evening fun events
5.00pm Family Games and Children's Tug of War Tug of War competition
RING 2
Unaffiliated Clear Round - from 9.30am
RING 3
Showing Classes - Inc Lead Rein, Family type, Riding Club Type
Horse & Pony - from 10.00am
Presentation of Cups ongoing
Sheep Pens 10.00am commence judging
Presentation of Cups at approx. 2.00pm
TENT Judging commences 11.00am
Presentation of Cups at approx. 3.45pm in the tent
FUR SECTION All exhibits to be staged by 10.00am
SK RUN Leaving Show Ground at 2.00pm
Presentation of prizes at approx. 3.00pm
